My wife wondered into the room and was suddenly worried that we were about to accidentally set fire to my daughter's hair. She soon moved on to worrying we were getting wax on the wood floor.
I like the back lit wisps of hair, soft light on her face, and the highlights in her hair. I worry about the blown out candle flames, the distracting bra strap, and the chunk of her right hand visible. Overall, I am not unhappy with it.

I too, cannot look at this shot without wincing a bit- the fire, the hair, the wax... However, your composition is terrific, and you have achieved a truly pleasing glow with the choice of black and white.
Great job. Congrats on the HM. This is a lovely photo. I didnt even notice the hand actually until I see you mentioned it. The hair was much too attention grabbing.
I WAS DRAWN TO THIS ONE AND I LOVE THE BLACK AND WHITE EFFECT AND ALSO THE SET UP ... GIVING YOU MY SHERPET 'YELLOW' STAR AWARD OF EXCELLENCE... CONGRATULATIONS FROM SHEZ
I like the overall affect, and original thought. Well composed. I can't put it into words, but I feel that something is lacking to make this photo really stand out, like others in this challenge.
