a lot of sadness in this image - partially from the pose and facial expression, but emphasized by the muted tones of the processing, and then given the exclamation point by the barbed wire rose....
i just wish you would have given it a title....and isn't the new upload system for DPC for the birds!
I don't usually take any notice of titles, and believe many photos benefit from being untitled - this one is probably an exception! The dichotomy between the rather wan and sad looking child, her delicate celebration dress and the dying rose mounted on barbed wire is obvious, but it's meaning somewhat elusive. A photo to intrigue and return to again. Technicals can't be faulted.
This has been very well done Photography wise and processing love the effect of the young girl great lighting she looks so beautiful and sweet..Well done
