Yet another friend from Tango, Emma is just naturally stunning. Our 45 minute session produced eight possible entries. I wanted something dreamy and sensual, and in addition to some other backlit versions, I got to use my fog machine! Almost entered one with fog, but after submitting/unsubmitting all the possibilities, this is the one I went with.

Well done. I am still trying to figure out why I like this image.
- Is it the slimness of the model?
- The power of the backlight?
- The richness of the red hair against the offset and mismatch of the toenail colour?
- The awkwardness of the pose?
- The balance of the subject within the frame?
- The rule of thirds framing?
- The fill lighting on the face?
I can not identify any one characteristic that makes it work for me. It is sexy, but not overtly. Maybe it is a combination of all of these attributes? Regardless, I like it and it exudes a power and strength. A well deserved success.
Oh my! Despite the lovely allure of her angelic face, she exudes a rather devilish strength with those muscular arms and makes think twice before deciding if she be friend or foe! Oh my! I'm rather enamored with your use of light, Johanna! (I think you must have super charged the model as well as that camera battery...;-)...)
THIS IS A STAND OUT AWESOME PORTRAIT =WITH NATURAL LIGHT... A PORTRAIT THAT TOUCHED MY HEART AND MANY MANY OTHERS HEARTS AS WELL... PERFECT... WELL DONE AND I GIVE YOU MY SHERPET BLUE STAR AWARD OF EXCELLENCE...FROM SHEZ
Everything about this is absolutely stunning. Fantastic portrait - so glad it ribboned. (Let me know when you break that freckin update button... lol!)
What is it about photographers who want to photograph white against white. This is a very dramatic pose with a photogenic model and it's all washed out in a blast of white. Ugh.
Using cream on cream a great attribute. I don't like the crop at the bottom. The chair takes away from a smart composition but on the other hand, her stance is good. Lovely shot all in all
Top pick or the blue. Different from the typical portraits in this challenge; stands out from the pack. Creative in using the window as a back light. Great control with reflectors to give her the nice soft light. It's sexy, alluring, and classy. Well done.
