This was taken of a Wood Pigeon determined to get peanuts from the bird table with a roof on. He had to hover to try and place himself to get under the roof.
He was in most instances successful :)
These shots were taken within 3 minutes of each other.
Thankyou so much for great comments and also some great advice for going forward - this was my first triptych attempt.

If I was a betting man, I would wager good money that this image belongs to Melethia, particularly when one considers her love of birds. I have a great appreciation of just how difficult it is to take photos of birds in flight and you have done a great job in this instance Very nicely done, and here is hoping your image does well in the challenge.
Wonderful set! Gorgeous set! Love the low key on the series. I wish the inner borders were the same weight as the outer borders, and I probably would have done the borders differently. The white intrudes on such a soft scene. But it doesn't change my score. -9-
No idea on mystery word but it doesn't matter. I love the grace of the wing and body positions in these captures and the black and white is very nice, too. Voted earlier.
This is a difficult one for me, the title suggests the ultimate enemy of the bird, so...flight could mean attack or escape, the image is awesome, love the suggestion of movement, the clarity of the image and the different aspects of the bird in flight, great image and for the record I like it :)
