They are... all three... searching for bugs to eat.
Actually, the frog caught one just after I shot this image of him/her. I have a lovely blurry photo of it. :D
Lame? Well, maybe... I'm not sure what to do with this challenge... so there you have it. *grin*
I thought at first I should shoot for just "Pond" as the mystery word... but that seemed too easy.
I dunno... There it is. :D

Ha! @EntertainMe who asked: I can't believe I could recognize a frog.. but is this the same guy that is in image #1021339? That is my image, but I have NO idea if it's the same bullfrog. It was near the same area where I shot the other one... so it's possible, but the other one looks like he has brown on his "nose", so I doubt it. But, to be honest, they all look the same to me. LOL!

I meant to show that all three are "hunting". They all are.
It had not occurred to me that some would think that the frog was hunting the dragonflies... but perhaps he is! Works for me.
:D
Did you know that dragonflies can eat their weight in bugs... mosquitoes, etc... in thirty minutes?!
And... they don't even have to land to eat them... they catch them in their legs (like a basket) and eat them "on the fly"... Cool, huh!?
I love to watch them.

I don't know if it's the combination of the photos or the cropping, but the top insects aren't as sharp as I'd like them. The one on the left looks a little blown out on the tail and slightly out of focus.
That being said, I still find this to be the best photo in the challenge. The story is there and it's compelling. Will the frog get the meal or not?
"Starvation" is my pick. Maybe "catatonic" but no good will implied there. Oh someone's trying to play on my ancient mind since yours is younger. It's "hunting".
