Golden Tulip Inntel Hotel in Zaandam, the Netherlands.
March 2010 a new remarkable hotel opened it's doors in the Dutch city of Zaandam.
Zaandam is a town in the Dutch province of North Holland. It is the main city of the municipality of Zaanstad.
It is located on the river Zaan, close to the capital Amsterdam.
The town centre and station area of Zaandam have been radically restructured.
The new Golden Tulip Inntel Hotel in Zaandam is a 12-storey building of 40 m tall and includes 160 rooms.
The hotel tower is without a shadow of a doubt the main eye-stopper in the revamped town centre and a building that has set many tongues wagging in the Netherlands.
The traditional green wooden houses of the Zaan region were the inspiration for the hotel’s designer. The structure is a lively stacking of almost 70 individual little traditional houses, ranging from a notary’s residence to a worker’s cottage.

How in the world anybody knew this was a crop of another entry instead of just another shot, I have no idea.
I'm sorry about your impending DQ. I guess the site records the file name and that tipped them off.
Such a bummer... *sigh*
Aaagh no problem really. I made a mistake, it's ok if they DQ it. Didn't do well anyway so I would prefer if they just scrapped it altogether actually. Funny thing is I have about 6 other shots taken from exactly the same location that I could have used but since I had already edited this one it was easier for me to just make another crop out of it. Also I didn't realize I was doing something that was not allowed. Too bad, no worries.
It's a great project indeed, more wonderful buildings on the left side (not in this photo) too. But it's still a mess in the city, especially on a rainy day. Guess people have to suffer for independence :)
Nice and shiny, although the color of the sky looks somewhat unnatural.
Looks a bit like a photo called "windows" I've recently seen ;) I liked that one a tad better though as in this one I think the tones of the clouds/sky in the middle look a bit unnatural. Still a cool building though.
