Borrowed a fence near work, shot through the bars across a corner, backlit against a bright western sky. I shot in silhouette since I used Isaac's hand and needed to "disguise" them as much as I could.
Cropped, reduced, tone curve to push the silhouette effect, Channel Mixer to turn monochrome. No sharpening, JPEG=10/10.
I wanted it to be depressing gray-on-gray. I've recently read some articles which indicate that there may be as many as 20,000 INNOCENT people incarcerated in the USA alone, not counting "enemy non-combatants" or other victims of the US Patriot Act.
Oh yeah, notice how the center bar is "framed" by his hands ...

I understand now your intent. I think the title probably diverted us somewhat from what you were aiming for. "I wuz framed, I tell ya!" is normally taken by most people I know as being comedic (humorous, not even close to sarcastic) in nature, rather than being associated with the tragic nature of the events you want to portray. With that mindset established, evaluation of your image took a totally different path. Still, as I said before, I like the image.
Wonderful image; nice thought; cutsey title. Framing though? Hmm... The hands are so much a part of the bars image-wise, that what I see is ALL frame and no image. Maybe if there was some kind of background indicative of a gulag or penal camp, maybe then it would have a foreground frame and background image and seem to qualify more for this challenge. That's just my humble opinion, and I could be wrong. Again, nice image. I really like the subdued lighting on the hands.
Because my "internal picture" of a cell window as seen from the outside involves a neutral-gray stone or concrete wall, I wanted to use the DPC page background to create (by implication) the edges of the "window," framing the arms and bars against the darker gray of what is supposed to be the back wall of the cell.
I was hoping the dark dark grays would symbolize the hoplessness of the imprisoned, and barrenness of their environment. I also needed to disguise the fact that my "prisoner" is only seven years old : )
Here's a couple of versions where I used exactly the same gray outside the image, but added a few details to make its purpose more obvious.

Interesting idea and good, compelling composition - but the contrast seems a bit flat and I don't care for the dark outlines around things - is that too much unsharp?
The wording for this challenge was vague at best, so I am struggling to be fair. This is a lovely photograph, but the way I understand the challenge it doesn't fit. But I do like the photograph!
