I was invited to talk about my brother's life and to shoot photos for his 50th high school reunion. He died in Nov 02, and was my hero and a great photographer in the days before digital.
The lens of choice for this occasion was the manual Nikkor 85mm f1.8 HC Ai. It allowed me to place focus right where I wanted it, and to isolate subjects using the shallow DOF. The lighting was pretty low incandescent on one side and bright diffused sun on the other, which made white balance sort of tricky without using flash.
