the frame vertical blurred sides are distracting and competing with the leaves

Interesting to choose to photograph an uninteresting sport/game. The trees/houses in background is a bit of a distraction and I find that the image lacks a focal point. My eyes keep wandering between the man and the bowling balls but can't decide what to look at.
