Hi i am an extreme amateur when it comes to photography and i don't have a special camera. I saved this dragonfly from a swimming pool on holiday and thought it was quite nice so i thought i'd upload it. Although for some reason it looks quite dark on here :(.

The only editing i really did was enhance the colours a little, adjust brightness and contrast and crop the image.

Thank you for all your comments :)

My girlfriend took this awesome shot and i couldn't resist uploading it!

As the description says: I am an "extreme amateur". I unfortunately don't have a camera with adaptable lenses nor does it have a true macro feature and i can only zoom in so far before it is unable to focus on an object.

As for editing i am no wizz at this either and as much as i would've loved to zoom in to just show the dragon fly i wasn't really sure how and as a newbie (only having entered once before) i wasn't sure how much editing i could really do to fit into the rules :D!

Thank you again for your helpful comments and i will try and improve for my next entry :)

Interesting, the different setting from the others. It makes it stand out some from the crowd.

Lovely crisp dragonfly, but the hand holding this beautiful creature is stealing the show. 6

The hand and e/thing else but the dragonfly is so distracting, if you zoomed in on the eyes it would of made it much more interesting.
