One of my favorite lines from Mark Twain's Mysterious Stranger, "Humanity has unquestionably one really effective weapon—laughter. Power, money, persuasion, supplication, persecution—these can lift at a colossal humbug—push it a little—weaken it a little, century by century; but only laughter can blow it to rags and atoms at a blast. Against the assault of laughter nothing can stand."
While I do get and appreciate the out of the box thinking of laughter as a superpower the picture as it stands here does not fully meet the guidelines of the challenge 100%. An interesting take and it does make one think but the general audience is probably not as accepting and are looking for something that unequivocally demonstrates the challenge. In another challenge I feel that this would do better (maybe smiles or laughter challenge)...and it would look great in B&W with proper balance of shadows & highlights for then color would not be calling focus away from her wonderfully big smile. |
