meh - many ideas and this is the result of being pressed for time...
some touch-ups in aperture, a couple adjustments in photoshop and a final tweak with camerabag 2.

yes I must say, motion panning isn't my strong spot, nor is it something that i'm much interested in at this point. My entry is lacking in terms of quality and substance. I should definitely learn the technique but i think i'll wait to cross that bridge when i need to.

I like the shot a lot. I wish the bright spot in the top center wasn't there, it draws my attention away from the subject. If it were mine, I'd crop the top, then the bike and its shadow and the light on the street seem much stronger.
