Just wait till I upload what I call the "Dalmation Duck" that also lives here...lol. These ducks here...well...I doubt they are very selective of which other ducks they choose to mate with.

Hybrid mallard indeed, although they often have a green head. It's what they call here a "soepeend" (Literally translated: soup duck)

I've read that the Black Duck is hybridizing with the Mallard quite commonly. Might this be an example?

Well, it's a male, but I've never seen this coloration in a Mallard. Could certainly be a hybrid version.
