Wow....what a striking and beautiful bird. Most of ours are pretty boring around here...the tree birds, that is. nice job with teh DOF blurring a busy background.

Thanks, Karen. This Flicker does look small. Most of ours are larger, too. This is a red-shafted flicker, as compared to the yellow-shafted in the East.
