I see what you were going for and the image is very well composed but I would have dulled it a little bit. it hurts my eyes to look at for too long but the crispness is lovely otherwise.

I really like the shot, composition, the kid - everything except there is a lot of lost detail because of the high contrast. This image screams for those boots to shine and the background to show the texture of time. Great shot though. 6
