I hoped this is not a DQable offense. I shot the self portrait within all the rules, (with my Canon Powershot), I'm just not sure whether the screen shot is allowed. I tried to take this a step further by taking another screen shot after I'd submitted my entry, but it ended up with an horrendous moire which I couldn't eliminate.
Step 1 was to take the original self portrait with Canon set to face detect self timer.
Open in PSCS3
Crop then process with Topaz Adjust, Topaz Detail and a Filter Forge frame. All this is for the preliminary shot and if any of that processing would have been illegal for the entry, that is not actually the entry, so I assume that that is irrelevant.
Step 2 - the actual entry
Take a screen shot of the photo open in Photoshop - it took a few shots to get it straight enough

Select
Transform distort to make a small adjustment to correct perspective
Crop a tiny bit off via canvas size
