I remember when you posted a color version vs. black and white (though I forgot the photographer). I liked it then but this second viewing really knocked me off my feet, probably because I wasn't distracted by having to make a decision. I could just enjoy the image. |

I like how the focus is in the most unexpected place. Her movement helps build the moment of anticipation. |

What do we see and how do we see it.. a flash of golden curls might be the only thing that could distract from a face like that? Yes. Well done. 8 |

Not sure why the ear and hair are the things in focus. Kinda throws the picture off for me. I think if the face was in focus, and the rest was OOF, it would have worked better. Still, a nice B&W |

Voted earlier coming back to comment now.
B&W definately gives this a classic ol' time feel of the movies of the 40's. While some may be critical that the face and lips are not in focus, I think you hit the nail on the head with what you wanted to present to your audience. The audience is not a passive member looking upon this photo. Instead you have made them an active participate. The motion blur of the lady coming close is like she is leaning in for the kiss. Nicely done. |

Your concentration on the hair is interesting. That and your title really brings this image close. |

Faire la bise, wonderfully focused and puckered up, reminiscent overtone. |

I feel like this could be better if it was focused on something other than hair. |
