It has been a while since I saw the front page. :)This was a single exposure, with two alternate passes through light room to dim some of the lights along the road. I recently purchased a set 3 of 4x6 inch LEE graduated neutral density filters and used them to balance the exposure. No tonemapping or HDR processing. A few minor color tweaks in CS4, sharpened, re-sized and Saved for the Web.

When I read the title I didn't see a connection with cars (which I automatically assumed) but after checking other definitions, I see what you intended about the connection to a city. This is a very nicely-taken image, lovely rich blues, good compositon. The symmetry of the reflection adds another level to the palindrome idea. Very well done.
