Too much orange/red tones here for me. I like the idea, maybe if a bit more of the lighter was shown, and the background color was different it would have contrasted better. But a good idea.
What can you say about whimsy, humor and the combination of same. The off center subject is clever and the larger blank color space actually works to draw the eye to the subject. Another great image - well done.
