I'm new to the site, so my apologies if this has been done recently (I'm sure it's already been done, but I'm hoping not for at least a year ;-).
After two challenges focusing on studio-esque shots and advanced editing (full-length studio portrait and fashion 2), it would feel to me like a nice change to have "street" photography with basic editing.
Wikipedia has a nice definition: "Street photography is a type of documentary photography that features subjects in candid situations within public places such as streets, parks, beaches, malls, political conventions, and other settings." The fact that there doesn't have to be a "street" involved is why I keep putting that word in quotes. ;-) So maybe to avoid having people mark shots down as DNMC because they don't show a street, the challenge could be called "Candid public photography" or something? |
