I just got back from the park after taking some photos of the Kamehameha statue since it's Kam Day today and all the photos are too dark and turned out to be complete doo doo. What a wasted day :'(
Kind of like the old days when someone would shoot a whole roll of film just to find out they forgot to put the film in!

I tried and I think there's no hope. The colors just don't come out right.
I am the Queen of poor exposure (lack of knowledge, skill and a great camera!), so I feel for you!!!!! I once lost a roll of film in Yosemite of the best photos I had ever taken; the film got dropped into the water 100 feet below. I wasn't a very fun person to be around for hours!!!!!!

Try converting ti black and white - sometimes it's just the colors that are gone. Althouhg I don't suppose all those flowers will look better in black and white.

I dropped an entire camera bag with an SLR plus several lenses and a flash in the Suwanee river :-((( I managed to recover the bag, and fortunately the film with lots of shuttle launch pictures could be salvaged, but the camera and the lenses didn't work anymore. Didn't have a camera for years after that, now I'm happily shooting digital.
My maid of honor at my wedding was, as a gift to us, having her photog-major fiance' take pictures at our wedding and reception (any red flags going up yet?). Well, long story short, he took about 10 rolls of pictures, but when they drove home from Greenville to Denton, he realized about 1/2 way there that he had left his camera bag...on TOP OF THE CAR...and was never found. That really was bad. :o( I still have a complex about not having anything but snapshots from family members for our wedding pictures!
Ouch. That's terrible, Laurie. I snapped away at the last three or four weddings I've attended (because that's the most fun for me anyway). I averaged about 300-400 shots at each event and always came away with at least a few that topped the paid photographer (even though I was using a Powershot G2), so I've been like an insurance photographer. The next wedding is in a month, and this time I'm the primary photographer. Note to self... remember that camera bag!
