Took an old 1961 1967 photograph that had been folded and in my cousins wallet for years. Both his Dad and Mother have passed and he wanted to see if I could restore the picture and enlarge it to an 8X10.
Looks darn good to me. A faithful restoration. I would not have known it had those two big fold in it before.
I agree, though if it were mine I'd also experiment with some duotones or tinting in addition to the straight B&W before printing the 8x10. I might even print 2-3 versions to 4x6 prints before deciding to see how they look on actual paper -- often diffferent than how it feels on the sceeen.
Thanks everyone for you input. The three children are my cousins and this was the only know picture of all of them together. To learn more about photo restoration I wanted to do this for them and give each one a print. I hope they will be pleased.

I agree with the duotone comment. I like the warmth of the aged colors. Great job though.
On a side note, is dad's shirt something that was in style? He looks like Robin Hood in slacks.
Meh... It's alright. You lost a lot of detail in editing though. I prolly would've done it differently
Can you explain (for my learning purposes) where I lost detail and what may have caused it. If possible I would appreciate your input on what you would have done. I trying to improve my skill level and any suggestions would be helpful.
