I wanted to introduce myself. My name is Diana and I am from North Myrtle Beach, SC. I bought a canon 450D in January. I had no idea how much I would enjoy taking photos as I never enjoyed it with a point and shoot. I have since purchased the 100mm 2.8 macro lens and now love it even more! Anyway, I am really amazed at the quality of photos I see on this site and hope to learn from them...even if I go crazy in the process.

HI Diana ! I too am from North Myrtle Beach and have just re-found this site. I signed up back in 2006 and have just recently become a member. There are definitely alot of ecellent, interestingly amazing pictures here. Enjoy your new canon!

I did buy it. Also ordered the "Pew-Pew" shirt over the weekend.
Well, I did max out on the latest random shirt offering.. I've got something like 30 of those things, I really have been trying not to buy lately unless I REALLY LOVE the shirt..
First off, Welcome. Definately do what Tammster said and post some pics to your portfolio but be sure not to post anything that you enter in a challenge or are planning on entering into a challenge until the challenge voting period is over.

Dont be afraid to enter a challenge. It took me 2 years since joining to start taking part and Im sorry I did not do so earlier. Theres nothing to be scared of (except some suspect names I see who have already welcomed you) Follow this recipie if you whish
