I'm having a hell of a time getting my picture to upload for the EXIT challenge. It keeps saying that my file is bigger than 300 KB, the file size is 600x751? how to I get the file even smaller? just keep changing the image size until its small enough?

Use the maximum 800 pixels, save for web then adjust the file size.
Canon EOS-40D

Adjust the jpg quality until the resulting file is < 300. Save for web in photoshop has an option called optimize for file size which takes the guess work out of this step.

Each piece of software does it in a slightly different manner. If you can tell us what you are editing with, someone else who uses the same software can offer more specific help.
