I've been asked to do a wedding this summer. They want an album. I want something similar to what you can get from snapfish - but you know - nice/better. Anyone have any suggestions?
are they paying for it? Wedding albums can be rather costly ya know...
I would look at Black River Imaging, or KISS albums... they make really nice ones but it depends who's paying and how much they're willing to pay. If they're buying it from you, include your markup. There's a reason why albums go for like $1,500.
I did some research on this for a Christmas present. Check out viovio.com. Their 12x12 might be what you need. You get what you pay for though. The pages are much thinner than most wedding albums.
The toughest part about using the site is finding the “Dashboard” button on the top right.
I'm leaning toward going through this company for the album. Anyone ever use them?
I told her that I could do a very nice album through snapfish for around $100, but that a real professional album starts around $200 and goes all the way up $1500. The album I was thinking about for her is around $500ish. I told her I would also need $150 to rent a second body and a wide angle lens, and I told her the reasons I need the second body and lens. So far she has agreed to that, and she said she wants to spend about $500 on the album. I told her another $250 for my time because that still has me making less than minimum wage because my real work starts after the wedding. I told her I spent about 50 hours on post-processing my little brother's wedding pictures, and I only shot about 150 pictures total with about 75 making the album.
That's what I was thinking Marty. The groom's family is paying me, but they said they're happy to pay upto $500 for the album, and then of course they'll pay for portraits from framing purposes. They said the bride's family has to pay for their own stuff - LOL!
