What's with all the basic rules... Both Children's toy challenges were basic and the children without children was classic and basic... This one should be changed to Advanced

So what are you looking for, screen shots from Playstation, and gameboy? Take a walk down to the Elementary school, marbles and Jacks are still being played. Barbie and Tonka still are popular. Teddy Bears, Raggedy Ann, and sock monkeys are in rooms world wide. I still see Yo-yo’s and hula hoops regularly. How old is old in toys? Bicycles? Baseball? What?
yes but the skateboard has changed into a newer toy each decade, as with the other toys I mentioned.
Just becasue a version of something was made a long time ago doesn't mean that the ones we have now are old. Thats like saying the all cars are old becuase the first one was in the 1800s.
Action figures, skateboards, soccerballs, gameboys.. there is alot to choose from.
I'm not saying theres anything wrong with older toys as entries, but in the previous challenges there were too many of them.
Look, first off, a lot of people are probably going to be entering toys that they played with, and which their children/grandchildren/nieces/nephews etc are still enjoying now. The wooden building blocks, the Etch-a-Sketch, Hot Wheels cars, stuffed animals and Fisher-Price figurines that I played with - and I am literally old enough to be your mother - are still being played with by my nieces, aged 10, 4 and 6. Yes they have lots of 'new' toys too, but one thing you have to realize is that there is nothing new out there. Just old ideas (and toys) brought up to date. You can see the same cycles in the fashion world.
I hope people arent going to vote down on subjects they think are too old/new. I thought it was supposed to be about the actual photograph, not who has the best toys...

I agree this shouldn't be a generation thing. A wooden horse a playstation or a climbing frame there are all toys, but everybody knows what the majority of kids would choose nowadays. Old or modern lets be neutral and make this a photo thing, or maybe we should let the kids judge.

Sorry, I haven't read the whole thread, but why is this a concern? There's nothing in the challenge title or description that says anything about old/new.
