The "PP Side Challenge" challenge is to post process contributed original photos to be judged by the contributor at the end of each week.
Here's how it works...I'll accept one original per day from anyone until we have 21 originals starting now. We'll accept PP'd originals thru Friday. Then, Saturday and Sunday, each original's owner will decide their top 3 picks. The person with the most points at the end of 4 weeks (this is week 3 of 4) will be our February PP winner.
There are no restrictions with editing.
The only rule is that you post your editing steps with the photo.
Still a side challenge in progress, but thanks for the participation! Any thoughts appreciated...
ETA: Signing up is not necessary, but keeping track of PP participants is fun :D
Did everyone remember to "shorten" their picture titles???
I forgot to remind everybody that when you 'save as' an original to edit, please remember to re-name the photo to shorter title before uploading back to the thread.
I told a friend about this fun challenge and he sent me this image to fix up for him. He had gotten it from a friend's father who hoped my friend could fix it. After trying for a while I found it too dificult. I just couldn't get it to look right. So I asked him if I could submit it for you aces to work on this week. He said OK.
The problem here is that when the tourists saw this beautiful sunset in Hawaii they all got out their pocket cameras to snap it but they all got images like this one. According to the people who were there, the sun was a red color and the sky was pink. I think the sun in this image is completely blown out so I guess it's going to need some natural looking "red paint."
But when I tried to to fix the sky I had problems with the water and the people in the foreground. Go to it!
