Well, it doesn't say there can't be flowers in the shot, just that it shouldn't be the main subject. ;P
The garden here is covered by knee-deep snow, sooo... I guess it will be Dance for me (but where the hell do I find a dancer here in no-mans-land...)

That's my point exactly! What I find troubling with that photo is that it's taken with a point and shoot... I can't remember last time a girl took of her pants on a shoot I did with a point and shoot... I thought that was the reason we bought bigass f/2.8 zoom lenses...

I could probably get some decent winter shots of the garden at the Meeting House, but ummmmm - fractured legs and walking through two feet of snow really don't mix well. I learned that trying to get the shot for my constructed by man entry.

Fractured legs??????? Did you fall while out shooting "constructed by man" Both legs????? I hope you're doing well.
My MIL slipped on the ice and fell last week; breaking her hip and hand. She's doing ok.
No just one leg is fractured, but I found out trying to hobble around in the snow while one has a fractured leg is a bad idea. I'd like to do dance, but I just don't have time to locate models and find a place to shoot.
This sucks. My garden is bland as anything, i don't have a macro lens, weather is temperamental around here lately and no transport.
Challenge just says to take of photo somehow related to a garden. It doesn't say it has to be of a garden or an insect. I suppose even a photo of dirt would qualify although I doubt it would go over well; maybe if it was done in HDR and Topaz that would help... see my (LOW scoring) photos for reference :)

Topaz in basic editing? Didn't know that was allowed. Besides it's supposed to be a photography challenge not a "luk it my kool filtaz!!!1" challenge :p I just seem to be lacking any *creative* ideas whatsoever. I'm probably not "talented" enough to try for the brown ribbon either... Is there a beige? lol

Main subject can't be a flower. The shot can contain a flower.
