So I have map that is tiny, it is in PDF, I can make it totally huge, but can only get it to print tiny.

A couple of possible choices ...
might make a difference in what print options you have available if you have the full version of Acrobat or only the Reader.

Yes I only have Reader and I can not get it to open in PS!

I have done it! Granted it is now 2 feet long and 3 feet tall, but I did do it.
