That is exactly what they have. He wrote constantly throughout his life even though he was a recluse. There are notebooks and 'manuscripts' in abundance according to his heirs.

Cant wait to see what the family decides to do with all his work. He was such a private person, wonder if he would want them all published?

You're right. It was still Wednesday in America when I was looking at the book ... maybe he died at the exact same time.
Pug-H I wonder if you have seen Ghost in the Shell first Gig series since you're in Japan. The whole series is inspired by Catcher in the Rye. It's a must see.

I saw almost all of the first one, but I don't think I've seen any of 2nd Gig. That's a quality show for anybody who likes sci-fi, in my opinion.
Funny, and you know, Salinger hated phonies. At least his characters did. It's clear in everything he wrote.
