Once in a 'blue moon' I start a thread. this is one of those times.
On Saturday, I and my four photographer friends who run A Woman's Eye Gallery, or [AWE Gallery for short will have an opening featuring our own work. Usually we feature guest artists.
the show title is "Whimsy." Since that's a subject that I love, quite a few of my images will be on display.
So, if you're in town, and have time free either Saturday for the Reception, or anytime from then until February 20 (Wednesdays & weekends) drop by. I'd love to see you.
Is there a convenient way to get there via public transit (BART + Muni)?
GeneralE – good question. It’s fairly easy, actually. From BART, exit at Glen Park Station and take the #52 to Woodside & Portola. Look for the Purple Church with the bright yellow/red gallery attached. It is ½ block west of the intersection.
MUNI – go to Forest Hills Station and either walk a few blocks, or take the #43 or 44 up the hill to Woodside & Portola. Look for the Purple Church as above.
Here’s a visual – while the gallery is not affiliated with the church, it is physically attached to it. It makes a splendid landmark!
Oh, I almost forgot. As an added inducement to Bay Area DPCers who might attend,
it is entirely possible that SPAM will be a featured munchy at our reception
Saturday. That's because my DPC entry will be part of the Whimsical show.

Sorry, I don't think I can make it after all, but wanted to bump this in case some others can, and maybe post some pictures of the event. Hope you have/had a great time!
