Very interesting tutorial, I have bookmarked it and will look into making something like that very soon. Seems a bit complex for me, though I like a challenge. But, do you have any examples of the results a so called "ring-flash" can get? Thanks!

i made one out of cardboard, aluminum foil, and duct tape one night cuz i was bored ... works pretty good :)

I've got some of the supplies, I will probably go to Lowes or Home Depot tomorrow and get the rest. I will share some shots when I get mine constructed. It takes a little bit of work but I would rather do this than spend all that money for one.
