I was "googleling" my name a few minutes ago and I came up with a site that was using my pictures to compose other pictures, seems they were giving credit to the photographer but without asking and there were plenty of DPC photos there as part of these creations...try to google your name just to see if these "artists" are using your photos also...and what do you think about it?
Gotta say it's been a bummer of a Christmas Eve so far. Went to make my festive Christmas pizza (I only have pizza about twice a year) and realized I hadn't purchased mozarella. Makes for a rather dry and crumbly pizza. Not especially yummy.
since they mention DPC, it would be nice if DPC would ask them to desist so that the images could be removed en masse.
I brought this to Langdon's attention back in February after finding many of my own images there. He and SC dealt with and fixed the situation. People who use the site are no longer able to "clip" images from DPC. The problem I had with the site, though credit was given to the photographer, was that it was being used in derivative works, and Polyvore was talking about setting something up for people to be able to get prints of their "works of art" for their own use or to sell.
There is a form you can fill out to have them remove your images.
Someone finally steals one of my images. Is it one of my best, that I am proud of? Nope. They steal a very low scoring gag shot that even I was not quite happy with. Haha, they can have it.
