Bing maps has a 3D plug-in (just click '3d' at the top) which takes topography information, and maps it onto the satellite view. This allows you position yourself anywhere in the world and view a 3d representation of a scene.
I've been finding it particularly useful in identifying mountains and landmarks in landscapes and cityscapes. (I'm not an ordnance survey map-reading expert!) |
