Betterphoto.com just emailed me. Out of over 18800 entries, this image of mine has been chosen as a Finalist from the month of November entries.
Sure there are 846 Finalists, but I was happy to be among them.

Yes Jac, in a couple of weeks they will announce the Winners for each category. I've made finalist before, but have never been named a winner. Keeping my fingers crossed on this one.
Congrat's Linda. Actually, they usually announce in a few days. They're a little earlier than usual this month...my guess is the winners will be announced by Friday, Monday at the latest.
I have a finalist this month too--in the same category as you... good luck to us and all the DPC finalists...

Congrat's to Karen and Randall. Did any other DPCer's get a win in November. I didn't notice any.
Curious question to others: do you "persist" and keep entering photos in your portfolio there, month after month?
I do tend to enter old ones, even finalists that didn't win. Partly because it's easy to do so, and I don't regularly update my portfolio there.
And a note of caution I still need to fix there...if you enter a photo two months in a row, and it wins the first month (before you new not to enter it the second month, due to the "delay" in posting finalists and winners, you LOSE your win token if it later becomes a finalist. I had that happen with my Manhattan Lights photo. It won second place, but it was already in the queue for the next month, where it was a finalist. So now the photo just says "Finalist". I wrote to them quite a while back about that, but never heard back and it wasn't remedied. I guess I need to follow up on that....
I just sent them another note--I know I send one in May...I used their contact form, but never heard back. Unfortunately, you don't get a copy of the message in the confirmation email they send.
Maybe we should start a thread where DPCers can post links to all their winners there.
Congrats to the winners! Sadly once again I did not make it past the Finalist stage, but it's still nice to know I made it that far. I have a whole lot of Editor picks, and a good handful of Finalists...one of these days I'm sure I'll get to a Win. It may just take me a few more years.
