Overall, I like the re-shoot. The falling snow gives a nice touch, and the wreathes on the door make it very seasonal. I find that the sharpness is better on your original entry for symmetry, but that is just a matter of tweaking the sharpness in the new shot a bit, and its largely personal preference.
On their own though, they are both shots of a door, or doors. They are both well shot, and there isnt much to criticize about either, but I think they would both be nicer as part of a collection. You can always go out and shoot other doors that look festive, or try to get shots of doors while there is falling snow...etc. |
