I have just sold one of my nature prints online and the customer has asked if they can have a signed certificate of authenticity. I just wondered, how would I go about putting something like this together? its not something I usually do but I feel kind of flattered she has asked and I have also offered to write a small piece about the image, where/when it was taken etc. She has bought it as a xmas present for her husband and its a pretty large print! Makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside that someone is giving one of my images as a xmas pressie..

I would just lay out something in "fancy" fonts using a page layout/word processing program, print it onto "parchment" paper, and sign it in blue ink so that it's (pretty) clear that it's not a copy. You can also buy paper with fancy borders pre-printed, which are intended for awards/certificates.

Probably, or larger office-supply shops ... maybe try a search for "certificate printing stationery UK" ...

Things are little different over there but we have an Office Depot (where they sell office supplies) and you can actually buy certificate paper and print it out on your home/office printer. You might also want a paper stamp or something to stamp the paper saying that it's authentic or something.
This is a simple template for Open Edition prints I make available to clients who request one. Limited Edition prints are accompanied by a more elaborate version. All framed and matted work has a CoA in an envelope taped to the back of the frame.
I also mention a Certificate of Authenticity on my website -see last line, first paragraph.
