For some reason there is no foliage outtakes thread in the outtakes forum (yes I sent a ticket to Langdon and the SC a couple of hours ago). So until that thread is created, share your outtakes from the Foliage challenge here.

Outtakes, probably one of these would have done better:
I pulled my entry at the last minute becasue I thought it was a bit overdone. After looking at some of the top ten I now have second thoughts, although a bit late. Oh well someday I'll get it figurred out.
This probably would have scored quite well, but it made me notice something... all three ribbons have the same border treatment, and there isn't another border like those in the rest of the top 20. What's up with that? They're even in order of thickness.
Black makes colors pop, and the heavy border is a good way to create more impact without adding much to the file size. The new 800px/300kb image size will reduce the need for the latter.
Entry - Did horribly score wise, but was a great success amongst some of the photographers I greatly admire. I actually did try originally to get it back to more natural fall colors, but didn't like it as much.
Outtake - Probably would have scored better with the more typical fall colors.
