In CS3 I used to select all and then contract by 10px to draw an inner border, but in CS4 when you Select All, Modify -> Contract is unavailable

Anyone know why and how I can get around it?!

Hi, copy the script found on this page to your CS4 presets/scripts folder and you'll have the same functionality as you did in CS3. You're going to have to go to File/scripts to choose it instead of using the Modify Selection command.

I have no idea why CS4 doesn't offer the contract command in Select/Modify, but it does when you aren't selecting the whole image. Weird.

Does it work when you select the whole image manually using your mouse?

Nope, but the script works either way round
