I reckon we could search all day and not find any sheep here in Wellington.
I think the best thing to do would be get you a 5 dollar daytripper bus ticket and bum around the entire city.
Can check out the Central City, a few of the burbs, a cable car ride, view the city from Mt Victoria, another view from Oriental Bay, National Museum Tepapa, Bum around the coast and check out some of the bays, Botanic Gardens although not much blooming there as of yet But still a very nice place. Go see where Blanket Man is sitting that day however that is very predictable. Cuba St is another place that can be interesting. Unfortunately most of the good pubs are closed during the day. Charlie probably could add more to the list.

As for what to see...I dunno...what is there to see in New Zealand...apart from sheep????
I am ok with whatever also. I have seen Wellington inside and out so I am not missing anything if we dont do it. Too bad it is far to early to believe the forecast for next week. in fact 12 hours before the fact is still too early to believe the forecast here.
Charlie, I will send you a PM with my home and mobile #'s when you got time give me a ring and discuss where to meet + what time. I would think the Railway Station or around that area would probably be easiest however anywhere in town would work for me.
Thanks Brian , got it, will probably call Monday, as the next few days will be madness. Judi arrived ok at approx 1 am last night and not the least bit embarrassed by our pajamas and dressing gowns!
Oh too bad I didn't know she was coming in last night. I was wide awake and bored out of my mind. Had I known I would have taken the 10 minute ride to the airport and said hello. I bet it was her plane that I heard fly over. When they come in that late at night when everything else is quiet I always think it is an earthquake at first. Till they are right overhead and I can tell it is a Jet.

I thought Wgtn was Washington (the State ... for all you East Coast-ers who acknowledge only one Washington of the AC, no DC, variety).
Don't have time to fly to Wellington. Or more importantly, time to fly back. Although it's a Two day flight to OZ and a 2 hour flight back. But I digress.
