Has anyone found a lens cleaning cloth that they are happy with?!
I've dried loads of different types that claim to magically lift all dirt and dust off the lens but I've found none that really do! I want to use my cokin P filters more but it takes 5 minutes just to try and de-dust the bloody things so they stay in my bag more often than not!
These aren't magical but they work alright for me.
Nikon Micro Fiber Cloth I swore they were a dollar or two less when I ordered the ones I have.... oh well.
I use a blower and a lens pen. the combo of both works quite well. If the lens gets big smudge or something more hard to remove I will use a cloth but I try to avoid that if I can.
I use these very cool little things I found in a camera shop, no idea what they're called, but they are like little sheets of tracing paper, you spray some lens cleaning fluid on them and wipe the lens with it round and round until it dries out, work brilliantly.
I got a microfibre cloth from the opticians for $3. Its got a static coating or something similar so it lifts dust off the lens. It works great and folds up well. You can save a lot of money if you go to the opticians for this kind of stuff...

Ive been using the lens pens for about a year now and love them, there is a brush on one end to get rid of big stuff and the buffer thing on the other end for smudges and spots. so far they work great...

Yeah, these small thin sheets of paper are the best thing I've used too - they leave absolutely no smudges.
If there is very much dust, it can reduce saturation in images shot into a bright light source, esp if the dust is on the rear element. I am of the shirt tail variety of lens cleaning habit also. A gentle breath on the lens to make it fog can help the cloth pick up the smudges on the lens surface.
