The print quality from DPC prints in awesome. I've made a couple of hundred dollars on the few images I have up there.
I usually use the money to buy prints for myself at cost.
They have the "cost" pricing there when you get an image approved. You set the price after that. Anything over cost, you split with DPC prints.
You do have to have them approved for quality before you can sell them to the public. You can upload without approval if you just want to order prints for yourself.

This is important -- if you want the client to be able to order the image directly, you will need to have the images approved, and anyone can order them; you will need to set a price, preferably above the base price.
If you do this, you split the mark-up above the base price with DPC either 50/50, or 75/25 if people follow your link and place the order. If someone else refers someone to the site (through their personalized gallery link) and they happen to wander over to your gallery and buy something, I would get a 25% referral commission.
If you want to order them yourself -- you can have them drop-shipped to the customer if you don't want to check them out and re-ship -- you can just leave them at the base price, and do not need to have them approved. The customer would have to order from you and you'd have to place the order, and bill your customer.
Two final notes: you'll need a different size/aspect ratio for different-sized prints, and the print images themselves (big files) do not count against your portfolio quota, only the "placeholder" images which link to the prints do, and they can be smaller and lower-quality (i.e. like a challenge entry!).
