30 seconds is a good day. I have an apparently permanent smudge on my screen that I frequently try to clone out.
The other day, I drove several miles out of my neighborhood (with many turns) with my laptop and wallet still on the roof. That was a special time, too.

With 9 million strokes of luck, yes. I have no idea how. Heard a noise, paused to think, looked up at the sunroof and could see it through the corner. The noise was the cord unwinding and dangling down the back window. Having my laptop fly off the roof and smash into tiny pieces would have been the perfect follow-up to having spent $2800 to have a hard drive recovered, though.

I'm learning to apply this phrase to lots of things. Like car alternators and ripping up one's front yard to put in 14 feet of new piping. But yes, it can cost that much. I would (not surprisingly) recommend against proprietary file systems (NETGEAR I'M LOOKING AT YOU).
And yeah, DriveSavers is who I used. They are awesome. A complete pleasure to deal with, in spite of the financials. I'd definitely recommend them.

Even more tired when you fantasize about breeding them and turning out a litter of kittens with perfect colour (from her) and perfect conformation (from him).
Then you realize that a) both are spayed/neutered, and b) if you could breed them, with your luck, you would get her horrendous conformation and his horrendous colour. So you would get runty little cats with crap conformation and colour for their breed.
However both cats have outstanding temperaments, even my old guy has come to accept and love my bf, whereas she just loved him right from the start. So you would still get crap colour/conformation but sweet natured cats.
And you know you are even more tired than you think when you realize you have just posted the above on what is probably the world's toughest competitive photography website, not a cat-breeding forum!
