I am wondering...
i have just shot some images for stock photography which i will need a model release form for.
can i use one release for ALL the images, or do i need a seperate release for each image. It seems on some model release forms it has "image title" as one of the blanks, which seems that each image would make sense... however if i shoot a model on day... i don't know which shots i will use until another day which would be inconvient to say the least to try and get them to sign at a later date....???
any info???
Having never been in this situation, I would say that it really does not matter how you go about determining what photos the release applies to, as long as it states it clearly.
Personally I think I would go with the date (with possibly the times as well), and use the exif information on the originals to determine the coverage. Just make sure you set your date a time properly.
Although, depending on the relationship you have (or wish to have) with the model, allowing them to go over the photos to determine if there are any they would rather not have you use might be a viable alternative. Then, have them sign a release for the photos that are left. I don't see why multiple numbers or ranges of numbers couldn't be used to cut down on the paperwork, though.
You can a release for just about anything, tho the more specific it is, the better. If you have a release for each image, that's fine, but you can (and most photogs do) get a release for a single shoot - everything taken on "Sunday, May xx, 2004".
does it work to use the same model realse with different companies.. like do you think i can use the istockphoto release with pixibit and dreamstime agencies?.... and with that release it didnt really say what day or images... so i guess that is fine... but i would still need another release for the next photo shoot right?
The MR's which I use state the date of the pictures and the model releases ALL pictures taken on that day. If it is a multi-day shoot, I have them sign another one for the subsequent day.

It depends on what those sites require. If they require JUST a model release, sure, use Istock's. If not, modify it or use theirs.
