Though, it would seem to many as though he hated Tokyo and wished to destroy Tokyo, this was not the case. Instead, Godzilla felt like a patriarchal or parental figure to Tokyo. As such, whenever Tokyo was faced by the danger of other huge, mutated monsters, such as Barbara "Meccha" Streisand, Godzilla came to the aid of the miniature citizens of Tokyo.
