Yes, it's a pumpkin festival. Here we have the giant pumpkin pyramid! Note that the booths in the distance refer to Erdbeeren (strawberries) - this is because Paul's, who sponsors the Kürbisfest, is more known for their strawberries.
It's not a huge festival, but it was quite well attended - folks came early for Sunday services; families came by bike and on foot; all sorts of stuff pumpkin related was available for sale; and there were activities for the kids ranging from four-wheelers to pitchforks. OK, so maybe the pitchforks weren't an organized activity, but kids still managed to have fun with 'em.
