As the experienced foursome waited, they watch a golfer tee up a brand new ball and proceed to hook it out of bounds into the trees. He got out another brand new ball, and immediately sliced it into the lake.
As he was getting ready to hit yet a third new ball, one of the other golfers said "I notice your accuracy isn't so good today, and losing all those new balls can get pretty expensive -- why don't you hit some old balls?"
If I'm still in this, I'm taking a mulligan. I've got nothing.
Lied. I'm in. :-) As I put in the comments, playing the hole is more fun than walking it with the ball in your pocket. I've not only duffed the tee shot, but managed to lose the ball in the long stuff right in front of the tee. I'll be taking my drop on the tee box if that's OK.
I'm expecting a 4,4219... I really want to pull my entry. Darned it! I tee'd off, ball hit a tree and came back and hit me, the caddy and everybody present. Darned it... I really wanted to start rasing overall average on this site :-/
Ah, sugarfoot...I was so focused on real life, I sorta spaced on this one. Well, I still have 3 hours before rollover. Where's the nearest cat/pool hall? :-)

Mine meets the challenge, and that's just barely. My subject was originally "10" so I had to do some croppage to even meet the challenge.

I predict 4.476 (at least I hope it is that high).
I'm going to have to take one of my mulligans on this very first challenge. My son has been sick since last Friday and I had to go out of town on business Monday morning. Writing this from my hotel room. Had an idea, but did not have time to execute it over the weekend. :(
I'm hoping to break PAR 72.8% with my entry. I feel pretty confident with it but I've felt pretty good about others that bombed! Can't wait for our shotgun tee time at 9pm PST (US time)!!! I'll see you at the range and putting green about an hour early!
I just changed my entry. That usually means a low score. Oh well.
