You have a great idea here so I would suggest you play with it some more(Some ideas to try):
-Turn off all lights and use a smaller direct light source to bring out the contrast of the food dye.
-Using hot water will make the food dye dance because of the reactions of the molecules.
-Longer exposures to give more feeling of movement.

Looking at comments, i believe some people didn't understand what was opposite in my entry. Yellow and blue are opposites in the color wheel.
I believe that blue is opposite orange and yellow is opposite purple on the color wheel.
was gonna say that. the three primary colours are yellow blue and red... blue and yellow arent opposites. blue is opposite of yellow + red (orange), and yellow of red+blue (purple). thats why i scored it below 5.

Not sure what "original" colorwheel you mean. Many people only get educated on subtractive color because that's the kind one would use to mix colors with paint and such in primary school. Then, of course, there is the additive concept of color based on projected light....
I suppose you're "right" about blue and yellow being opposites and "some people" not getting it. But now you know, "some" may be "most" as far as voters for the opposites challenge go.
You just never know about people....
As is so often said around DPC: If you're happy with your photo, that's all that really matters. And I'll add: You can argue who knows what and how you were right and they just didn't understand and, in the end, nothing will have changed.

i agree with you, if you like your photo thats what matters most, and i didn't and do't want to argue.... i just wanted to let the people who might have not understood, know what was opposite :)
