How's this for last-minute notice of a "get-together" (GTG)? . . .
Who's up for going to Aliso & Woods Canyon Wilderness Park to shoot the "Dripping Cave" (and possibly Cave Rock) for the upcoming Tunnels and Caves challenge?
I plan on being at the trailhead at 10 a.m. tomorrow morning (Friday, 06 August 2009) for the quick hike to that cave.
The reason I'm going on a Friday is because, on the weekend, there may be too many outdoor enthusiasts there and it may be much more difficult to compose a nice image. Another reason is that I get every-other Friday off from work and this is my "off-Friday".
Should be a good hike. I'll be out of town (Berkeley), so I can't join you this time. I have some other cave suggestions in the area, look at Laguna. Maybe Thousand Step Beach. I tried to get their this week, but I took my kids with me, so I decided against that beach.
I've got an image in already, so I would love to see your results from tomorrow's hike. Since I know that cave, etc., and you've announced your intention, I wouldn't vote on your image anyway. Have fun tomorrow!

Thanks. I was already planning an outing to the "1000 Step Beach" as a backup plan, as well as "Strand Beach" in Dana Point.
zackdezon and I had a good time hiking to that cave. My daughter and her boyfriend came along and her boyfriend became an impromptu model for Zack's entry.
Zack, let me know whenever you want to go out on an excursion...down here or up your way, I'm game!
