I propose there should be a section of the site which has all of the photographers (or maybe just the members?) ranked by their average score between all the challenges they have entered.

Bad idea; on this site anyone can post a photo and see how the crowd reacts. Next week new challenge. If the results of experimenting remain influencing the ranking forever, we will see more and more 'hamburger taste' pictures of nice little doggies, flowers and kids.
